Ben Huggler named executive director of Erie Sports Commission

Ben Huggler has been appointed executive director of the Erie Sports Commission as of August 25, 2026. Huggler has been with the organization since 2018 and served as events services director and interim executive director since May. He played a critical role in hosting over 675 events that contributed an estimated $120 million in economic impact. Mark Jeanneret, who previously led the commission, has been named CEO of VisitErie. The transition in leadership is part of a broader reorganization aimed at strengthening the commission’s influence in regional sports.
