Ben Ross records first big-league hits with Minnesota Twins

Ben Ross, a rookie shortstop for the Minnesota Twins, recorded his first big-league hit on September 16 against the New York Yankees, doubling in the fifth inning of a 5-4 loss. Ross, who was promoted from the Triple-A St. Paul Saints earlier that day, made his first career start. He added another double in a subsequent game against the Los Angeles Angels, where he also scored his first career run.
