Ben Shelton withdraws from Laver Cup; Brandon Nakashima replaces him

Ben Shelton has withdrawn from the Laver Cup, scheduled for September 25-27 in London. The new world No. 4 made this decision shortly after his runner-up finish at the US Open. In his place, Brandon Nakashima, currently ranked No. 16, will join Team World, captained by Andre Agassi. Nakashima expressed excitement about debuting in the event alongside his teammates. Despite missing the Laver Cup, Shelton will still compete for the United States in the upcoming Davis Cup tie against Czechia in Prague.
