Ben Simmons signs one-year contract with Sacramento Kings

Three-time All-Star Ben Simmons has signed a one-year deal worth $3.5 million with the Sacramento Kings. The former number one overall draft pick returns to the NBA after sitting out the 2025-26 season to manage his health and reset his professional career. Simmons previously played for the Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, and Los Angeles Clippers. He completed medical examinations and workouts for Sacramento general manager Scott Perry before finalizing the agreement. For the upcoming season, the team intends to use Simmons as a backup for rookie guard Darius Acuff.
