Ben Wallace claims Pistons would not have won 2004 title with Carmelo Anthony

Former NBA player Ben Wallace stated on the '2 Bright Guys' podcast that the Detroit Pistons would not have won the 2004 championship if they had drafted Carmelo Anthony instead of Darko Milicic. Wallace argued that Anthony would have disrupted team chemistry as he would have wanted to play immediately. The Pistons chose Milicic with the No. 2 pick in 2003, while the Denver Nuggets selected Anthony at No. 3. Anthony has expressed regret over not being drafted by the Pistons, believing their promise to him affected his career trajectory. He suggested that had he joined the team, they could have won back-to-back championships.
