Benfica is pursuing a transfer for Chelsea centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo, who previously played under coach Marco Silva at Fulham. Adarabioyo, signed by Chelsea in 2024, had limited playing time last season with only eight Premier League starts. With defensive changes at Chelsea, including the departure of Trevoh Chalobah and the signing of Maxence Lacroix, Benfica sees Adarabioyo as a potential key player to replace Antonio Silva, recently sold to Bournemouth. However, securing this deal is challenging due to Adarabioyo's contract with Chelsea extending until 2028.
