Benfica targets Real Madrid's Franco Mastantuono for potential loan

Summary

Benfica is reportedly interested in signing Franco Mastantuono from Real Madrid as several players are expected to leave before the transfer window closes at the end of August. Mastantuono has struggled for playing time since joining Madrid last summer and is likely to head out on loan. Real Madrid's aim is to ensure he joins a club competing in European competitions, making Benfica a strong candidate. The situation may develop following the expected signing of Yan Diomande, which would further limit Mastantuono's opportunity for minutes at Madrid.
