Bengals prepare to host Buccaneers in season opener at Paycor Stadium

The Cincinnati Bengals face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Paycor Stadium on September 13 to begin the 2026 NFL regular season. Both organizations enter the matchup looking for a fresh start after a combined 14 wins in 2025. Cincinnati coaching staff, including head coach Zac Taylor, identified neutralizing the Tampa Bay pass rush as a primary objective. The Bengals offensive line expects pressure from Yaya Diaby, Vita Vea, and Reuben Bain. On the other side of the ball, the Cincinnati defense aims to limit Buccaneers wide receiver Emeka Egbuka and maintain sound tackling against running backs Bucky Irving and Rachaad White. Cornerback DJ Turner, who appeared on the September 10 injury report with a hamstring issue, will be monitored ahead of the kickoff. The contest marks the first regular-season appearance for the new-look Cincinnati defensive line.
