Bernardo Silva impresses as Real Madrid tests midfield options under Mourinho

Summary

Real Madrid's new signing Bernardo Silva made a significant impact in a defensive midfield role during a match against Deportivo La Coruna. Coach Jose Mourinho opted to include Silva alongside Eduardo Camavinga in a double pivot, where he completed all 40 of his passes in the first half. The team is currently seeking a permanent solution for their central midfield position, especially after missing out on Rodri, who joined Barcelona. Silva’s performance has positioned him as a potential long-term option in this formation, with the club considering in-house alternatives due to budget constraints.
