Besiktas ends pursuit of Rangers midfielder Nicolas Raskin

The proposed transfer of Nicolas Raskin from Rangers to Besiktas has collapsed. The Turkish club submitted a loan proposal that included a fee and an option to buy, but the terms were ultimately rejected. Raskin, who has earned 19 senior caps for Belgium, remains under contract at Ibrox until 2028. The midfielder played 50 matches for the Scottish club last season, though he has featured for only 68 minutes during the current Premiership campaign. Manager Derek McInnes now intends to integrate Raskin back into the squad as the club continues its domestic season. Rangers reportedly value the player between £15m and £20m and opted to retain him rather than accept a loan deal lacking a compulsory purchase clause.
