The duo has been rebranded as The New Level, and Big E has shown nothing but pride for his former partners in The New Day. Big E, who still works for WWE as a panelist and analyst, briefly referenced The New Level’s move to AEW immediately after their debut when responding to comment on social media. “Take a second today to recognize your own progress. You’ve made it farther than you think,” Big E had posted on Instagram, which led a user to write: “All the way to London?” “If you’re two living legends that are undervalued, sometimes you have to go to London!” Big E replied. He later added, “I’m immensely happy for them. Two of the best men to ever grace this industry.” He spoke a little more about Kofi and Austin’s move to AEW after their May departure from WWE during a recent interview with the news outlet Ozarks First. According to Big E, he is “so proud” of Kofi and Creed. The star, who stepped away from the ring after suffering a major neck injury in 2022 and eventually made his competitive retirement official in February 2026, also reflected on his long history with The New Day. “Austin and I were in our 20s when we first started The New Day,” he said to reporter Madelynn Darst. “Kofi was in his early 30s. Now we’re all in our 40s. You know, a lot of time has passed.” “Sometimes, you know, you’re in these roles, you’re in these jobs, you meet people for a season,” Big E said. “And that season can be beautiful and it can be fulfilling and can be so meaningful.” However, he made it clear to Ozarks First that his bond with Kofi and Creed is certainly lasting more than just a season. “We built a bond that I really believe is bigger than just a job or a company, and more than anything, I will always root for those guys in whatever path they take, and I’m so proud of them,” Big E said.
