Big Idaho Potato Truck visits Eugene before Oregon and Boise State game

The Big Idaho Potato Truck arrives in Eugene on September 4, ahead of the Oregon football season opener against Boise State at Autzen Stadium. The 4-ton exhibit will be stationed at the Safeway on 145 E. 18th Ave. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fans can attend the event to view the truck and participate in a pre-game celebration featuring appearances from Spuddy Buddy and The Duck. As part of the promotional visit, the Idaho Potato Commission is donating $1,000 to Food for Lane County. Attendees have the opportunity to receive signed potatoes from Oregon edge rusher Teitum Tuioti and promotional items while supplies last. During the September 5 matchup, the two mascots will also participate in a halftime potato sack race, and specific Gridiron Grill locations will offer a limited-time potato dish.
