Meanwhile, the SEC leads with an average of $18 million and the Big East surpassed the Big Ten with $14.5 million. Coaches anticipated budget stabilization after revenue-sharing from a House settlement but have noted ongoing increases. Centers are drawing particularly high valuations, with some expected to earn upwards of $5 million next season. Wisconsin’s coach Greg Gard remarked that despite increases, the Badgers might not rank high in spending this year due to overall budget growth across the nation.
