Big Ten to ban NFL players from conference rosters

The Big Ten plans to implement a rule prohibiting players who have been on NFL teams from joining conference schools. This decision is expected to take effect soon, as the conference aims to address concerns over the return of NFL talent to college football. The rule's enforceability remains uncertain, especially if existing player injunctions permit their return. Observers note that the Big Ten's stance may reflect an effort to support pending legislation aimed at granting the NCAA an antitrust exemption while managing public disapproval of NFL players in college programs.
