The Pembroke Youth Little League has installed a new 50-foot light pole at Mattakeesett Fields ahead of their Kids Helping Kids tournament this weekend. The previous pole was destroyed during a blizzard last winter. Fundraising efforts accelerated after Big Y contributed significantly following the opening of its new store in town. The new lighting allows for evening games, which are crucial for hosting over 100 scheduled matches. A dedication ceremony took place Friday, renaming the field to 'Big Y Field.'
