Bills DB Sam Franklin Jr. suspended one game for spitting incident

Buffalo Bills defensive back Sam Franklin Jr. has been suspended for one game without pay for spitting at a Raiders player during a game on Sunday, October 20. The incident reportedly occurred with 1:32 left in the fourth quarter of the Bills' 33-30 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. Franklin denies the allegation and plans to appeal the suspension. If upheld, he will miss the Bills’ Week 8 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, as the team has a bye in Week 7. This marks the second suspension of the week for a Bills player related to a spitting incident against the Raiders, as C.J. Gardner-Johnson was also suspended for a similar infraction.
