Bills defensive end T.J. Sanders struggles in preseason opener

Summary

T.J. Sanders, the Buffalo Bills' second-round pick from the 2025 NFL Draft, faced challenges during the preseason opener on August 16. After starting the summer, he was not in the starting lineup for the game against the Cleveland Browns, as Landon Jackson received the nod instead. Sanders dealt with a knee injury last season, which contributed to a disappointing rookie performance, tallying only 16 tackles and one sack in 12 games. Jackson, who switched to a new defensive alignment and increased his weight during the offseason, shone in the game, showcasing his readiness for a significant role. The Bills' next preseason game is scheduled for August 22 against the Browns.
