Biloxi Shuckers advance to Southern League Championship Series

The Biloxi Shuckers swept the Pensacola Blue Wahoos in the Southern League Division Series, winning Game 1 6-3 and clinching the series 8-3. Matthew Wood led the Shuckers with a 5-for-10 performance, including a home run and six RBIs. The Shuckers finished the first half with the best record in the South Division and secured their playoff spot earlier in the season. They will face the Rocket City Trash Pandas in the Southern League Championship Series, starting next week.
