Binghamton-area varsity football stars shine in Week 3 performances

In Week 3 of Section 4 high school football, several players delivered standout performances. Michael Mackey anchored Johnson City’s defense in a 13-0 win with three interceptions and a touchdown. Jay Richards Jr. scored two rushing touchdowns for Corning in a 64-27 victory over Binghamton, while Bryce Thomas rushed for two touchdowns in Horseheads' 21-15 win against Union-Endicott. Chase Jervis threw four touchdown passes and rushed for four more in Oneonta's high-scoring 66-44 triumph over Norwich. Jasmir Robbins was instrumental in Ithaca's narrow 31-30 victory against Homer, scoring three touchdowns.
