Birmingham City faces Brentford in Carabao Cup second round tie

Birmingham City hosts Brentford in the Carabao Cup second round at St Andrew’s on Tuesday night, with a kick-off at 8 p.m. BST. Birmingham starts the match after a solid performance so far this season, having secured a 1-0 win against Swansea and a 0-0 draw against Sheffield United. Both teams aim to progress past the second round, which has eluded Birmingham for the past 10 seasons. Chris Davies, Birmingham's manager, is expected to use this match as an opportunity to rotate the squad ahead of tougher league fixtures.
