Kanya Fujimoto has left Birmingham City to rejoin Tokyo Verdy on loan until the end of the season. The 27-year-old midfielder joined Birmingham in July 2025 from Gil Vicente but has had limited playing time, making five substitute appearances in the Championship and two starts in the Carabao Cup. Tokyo Verdy currently sits second from bottom in the J-League with no wins in their first seven matches. Birmingham City is set to host Middlesbrough in the Championship on Saturday.
