Bishop LeBlond, Benton, Central, and Savannah compete in city jamboree

The city volleyball jamboree in St. Joseph, Missouri, marked the unofficial start to the 2026 season, showcasing strong teams in the area. Bishop LeBlond emerged as the only team to secure a series victory, going 2-0-1. Coach Kim Huss praised her team's chemistry and hustle, while Benton showed promise despite only managing ties against its opponents. Benton’s senior Jalynn Brown and freshman duo Maggie and Blakely Brittingham demonstrated significant potential in their performances. Central, led by seniors Greely Simpson and Maggie Adams, competes with a fast-paced style and depth, which adds to the dynamic of the event. The jamboree allowed teams to gauge their early-season capabilities and identify areas for improvement.
