B.J. Edwards' eligibility for OU basketball in question after court order

Oklahoma basketball transfer B.J. Edwards is currently ineligible to play following a court order from the Tennessee Court of Appeals, which paused a previous ruling that granted him temporary eligibility. Edwards, who committed to the Sooners on August 13, had initially received injunctive relief allowing him to join the team after transferring from SMU. The decision is not final, as the injunction is under review pending appeal. Edwards averaged 12.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 4.9 assists last season at SMU, where he started every game until an injury sidetracked him.
