Blackburn Rovers appoint Mike Dodds as assistant head coach

Blackburn Rovers have announced the appointment of Mike Dodds as their new assistant head coach as of June 27, 2026. Dodds comes from Oxford United, where he worked under former head coach Matt Bloomfield. He has previous experience with Sunderland, where he served as head of individual player development and had a brief tenure as caretaker manager. Dodds replaces a role following his stint at Wycombe, which lasted seven months before his dismissal in 2025. His return to Blackburn reunites him with manager Tony Mowbray.
