Bloomington North runners secure titles at Charlie Warthan Classic

Bloomington North's cross country team excelled at the inaugural Charlie Warthan Classic held at Creekyard Vineyard on August 26. Shep Jackson and Lauren Thies achieved strong performances in the Hokum Karem format, with Thies leading her team to a victory with a time of 38:41.82. The event marked the first competitive meeting for local schools since the discontinuation of the Monroe County Meet five years ago, drawing a substantial crowd. Coaches and athletes expressed pride in honoring the late Coach Warthan and emphasized the significance of this new home course.
