Bloomington South sweeps rival North in boys tennis match

The Bloomington South boys tennis team defeated North 5-0 on Tuesday. Sophomore Alex Chong secured the third point for his team with a 6-1, 7-6 victory over Ben Konisky at 3 singles. Jonah Gray contributed to the sweep with a 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 win at 2 singles, while Caleb Lian earned a 6-3, 6-4 result at 1 singles against Dev Chopra. The doubles lineup also contributed to the victory, with Albert Hur and Matthew Wu winning their match 6-4, 6-1. The two programs are scheduled to compete at the Jasper Tournament this weekend, where they will face off in separate singles and doubles brackets. North coach Ken Hydinger noted that his team continues to seek improvements following the loss.
