The Toronto Blue Jays are focusing on enhancing their offense as they prepare for the offseason. After a disappointing 2026 season where they failed to make the playoffs, the team is reportedly poised to pursue veteran outfielder Seiya Suzuki from the Chicago Cubs. Suzuki had a strong year in 2026, batting.270 with 26 home runs and 86 RBIs, making him an attractive target for the Jays. Analysts suggest that securing Suzuki could help address the team's need for more reliable hitters, especially following their last-place finish in scoring. The front office is expected to be active in the free-agent market as they aim to return to postseason contention.
