The Toronto Blue Jays have traded pitcher Jeff Hoffman to the Minnesota Twins in exchange for multiple prospects on August 3, 2026. Hoffman, a Shaker High School graduate, had a 6-7 record with a 3.94 earned run average this season before the trade. After a rough start in 2025, he was removed from the closer role by the Blue Jays in April. The Blue Jays received pitchers Dasan Hill and John Klein, along with infielder Dameury Pena and international signing bonus pool space as part of the deal.
