BMW takes pole position for 2026 Le Mans 24 Hours

BMW will start the 2026 Le Mans 24 Hours from pole position for the first time, following Dries Vanthoor's performance in the Hyperpole 2 session. Vanthoor clocked a best time of 3m22.564s in the #15 BMW M Hybrid V8, ahead of Will Stevens driving the #12 Jota Cadillac V-Series.R. Cadillac originally secured pole but was penalized due to a technical infringement, dropping them to tenth on the grid. Alpine will begin its final Le Mans race from third position, while the highest-placed Ferrari starts eighth. The race is set to commence at 4pm local time on June 13.
