Boca Juniors announces La Bombonera expansion to over 80,000 seats

Boca Juniors confirmed the final expansion details for their stadium, La Bombonera, which will increase its capacity from 57,000 to over 80,000 seats. Club general secretary Ricardo Rosica announced this on Radio La Red, emphasizing the project’s aim to enhance the fan experience while preserving the historic venue. The plan includes moving the pitch four meters toward the railway tracks and constructing additional seating sections and boxes. As of now, more than 90 improvements have been completed, with several remaining in progress. Rosica indicated that the club is nearing the project's conclusion, rejecting proposals for a new stadium that could accommodate up to 150,000 people.
