Boilermaker Sunday sees over 15,000 runners at Utica

The 49th annual Boilermaker Road Race is underway in Utica, New York, with more than 15,000 runners participating. The 5K kicked off at 7:15 a.m., followed by the wheelchair race at 7:45 a.m., and the 15K race beginning shortly after. Event organizers noted record participation for the 15K, with the highest number of entrants since 2019. Weather conditions are favorable, with mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures predicted. A flyover by a U.S. Air Force KC-135 is scheduled for later in the day, depending on the weather.
