Bologna is seeking a new centre-forward following the sale of Santiago Castro to Roma for €35 million. Reports indicate that the club is in early discussions with Fiorentina about Roberto Piccoli, who joined Fiorentina from Cagliari last summer for €25 million. Bologna aims to finalize a permanent transfer for Piccoli this summer. Genoa has also expressed interest in the player but has not pursued the negotiations further. Piccoli scored four goals in 32 Serie A appearances and three goals in ten Conference League outings during the 2025-26 season.
