Bolton manager Schumacher faces defensive selection issues before West Ham match

Bolton Wanderers manager Steven Schumacher faces a depleted defensive roster for Tuesday's fixture against West Ham. Right-back Lewis Brunt sustained an injury during Saturday's 4-0 loss to Millwall and is expected to miss upcoming matches. He joins Luca Stephenson on the sidelines, as Stephenson remains in the early stages of recovery and is not expected to return until after the international break. Gaizka Larrazabal, who was omitted from the squad for the Millwall match, is confirmed as available for selection against West Ham. Schumacher stated that Larrazabal’s previous absence was a tactical decision to increase attacking options on the bench rather than an injury-related withdrawal. The team seeks to recover from consecutive defeats to Millwall and Sheffield United.
