Borussia Dortmund set to sign Takato Yamamoto from Gamba Osaka

Borussia Dortmund is nearing a deal to sign Takato Yamamoto from Gamba Osaka. The 18-year-old central midfielder is expected to join on loan with an option to buy. Yamamoto, who has made six senior appearances for Gamba Osaka and is a Japan U19 international, is slated to initially play for Dortmund’s Regionalliga team. He will also participate in first-team training during pre-season, especially given the number of players currently on international duty. His involvement will extend to Dortmund’s Asia tour from July 26 to August 3.
