Boston Bruins acquire JJ Peterka from Utah Mammoth for draft picks

Summary

The Boston Bruins have traded for winger JJ Peterka from the Utah Mammoth, sending two first-round draft picks in return. The deal includes the 23rd overall selection in the 2026 NHL Draft and a first-round pick from the Florida Panthers in 2028, which is top-10 protected. Peterka, 24, previously spent time with the Buffalo Sabres. He posted a career-high 68 points in the 2023-24 season but struggled to find his form in Utah, recording just 47 points last season. This trade bolsters the Bruins' forward depth and grants the Mammoth two first-round picks in the upcoming draft.
