Boston Celtics celebrate history with player birthdays and Davis re-signing

On August 9, the Boston Celtics mark significant anniversaries, including the birth of Hall of Famer Bob Cousy in 1928. Cousy, who achieved great success with the Celtics, was later inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. The day also commemorates former players Joel Anthony and Carlos Arroyo, along with ex-coach Ime Udoka. Additionally, the Celtics re-signed center Glen Davis to a two-year contract worth $6.5 million, following his contributions to the team, including a championship win in 2008. Davis previously played four seasons with Boston.
