Despite being a 2024 lottery pick, Carter remains available after failing to suit up for the Hawks. He logged time with the Kings over the last two seasons, appearing in 74 games. During the 2025-26 season, he averaged 8.9 points, 2.7 assists, and 0.9 steals in 18.4 minutes per game. The Celtics are currently evaluating roster adjustments as the start of the NBA season approaches.
