Boston Legacy and Kansas City Current secure road victories in NWSL

Boston Legacy defeated the Utah Royals 2-1 on Friday behind an 86th-minute diving header from Aleigh Gambone. The result snapped a four-game losing streak for the Legacy, who took an early lead through Aïssata Traoré in the 10th minute before Kiana Palacios equalized for the Royals shortly after. In the evening's other NWSL action, the Kansas City Current posted a 2-1 road win against Bay FC. Izzy Rodriguez opened the scoring directly from a corner kick in the 11th minute, and Rocky Rodríguez provided the winning goal in the 89th minute off an assist from Croix Bethune. Karlie Lema had briefly leveled the match for Bay FC just before halftime. The outcome marks the second consecutive loss for Bay FC, while the Royals have now conceded at least two goals in four of their last five matches.
