Boulter and Watson among Britons eliminated in Wimbledon doubles

Katie Boulter and Heather Watson were eliminated in the first round of the doubles competition at Wimbledon on July 2, 2026. They faced Poland’s Katarzyna Piter and Czech Anna Siskova, surviving four match points in a lengthy second-set tie-break but ultimately lost 6-4, 6-7 (12-10), 6-3. None of the six British doubles pairs advanced, while Arthur Fery remained the only home player through to the third round of singles. Other British pairings also lost, including the 12th seeds Olivia Nicholls and Tereza Mihalikova, who were defeated 6-2, 7-6 (7-3).
