Boys' basketball state championships return to Glens Falls in 2028

The NYSPHSAA Executive Committee has approved Harding Mazzotti Arena in Glens Falls as the host site for the state boys' basketball championships from 2028 to 2030. This decision reinstates Glens Falls as the tournament venue after a series of host changes since 2017, including a stint in Binghamton. The return allows both boys' and girls' championships to be held within an hour's drive of each other for the first time since 2019. Additionally, Hudson Valley Community College will continue to host the girls' basketball championship during the same period. New team state championships in girls' wrestling and boys' and girls' swimming will also begin in the 2027-28 school year.
