Bay District Schools will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new AstroTurf football field at Deane Bozeman School on Friday, August 14, before the Bucks face the Freeport Bulldogs in the Kickoff Classic. The project, which cost nearly $1 million, was funded by local capital improvement tax dollars and took approximately seven weeks to complete. The new field is part of Bay District Schools’ initiative to enhance athletic facilities, following the installation of another AstroTurf field at Rutherford's Vera Shamplain Sports Complex last spring.
