Brad Jones Racing is manufacturing a third Gen3 Toyota Supra chassis, designated BJR 021, to bolster its fleet following the 2026 season's reliance on a stopgap Chevrolet Camaro. The team currently campaigns two Supras driven by Andre Heimgartner and Cameron Hill, while Macauley Jones competes in the converted Camaro. Construction is currently underway on the center section of the new vehicle, with plans to complete the front and rear clips and paint the chassis following the Repco Bathurst 1000 in October. Although team management hopes to have the car ready for competition shortly after the endurance event, the assembly process requires significant labor to ensure the vehicle meets series weight and geometry regulations. The team will first compete in the upcoming Ryco Enduro Cup, which begins at The Bend on September 11, with Heimgartner, Hill, and Jones paired with co-drivers.

"BJR opened 2026 with brand-new Gen3 Supras under Andre Heimgartner and recruit Cameron Hill, while Macauley Jones has spent the year in a converted Chevrolet Camaro, a stopgap that is common in Supercars but never ideal. Every Gen3 car, regardless of badge, rides on the same control chassis and safety cell; the Camaro, Mustang, and Supra are really three different aero packages wrapped around identical underpinnings. That shared architecture is exactly why a team can convert a car between models
