Brandon Aiyuk has made his intentions known regarding his future with the San Francisco 49ers through recent Instagram posts. Despite being under contract and part of the team, Aiyuk has not played since October 2024 due to injuries. Following a torn ACL and MCL, the 49ers voided some of his guaranteed money after he stayed away during his rehab in 2025. San Francisco GM John Lynch stated that Aiyuk has played his last down for the team. Aiyuk previously expressed interest in joining the Washington Commanders to play alongside college teammate Jayden Daniels.
