Brandon Aiyuk remains on reserve/left squad list as 49ers finalize roster

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk continues to hold a spot on the reserve/left squad list as the organization moves toward its 53-man roster deadline. Because Aiyuk has not reported to the facility, he does not count toward the active roster limit, allowing the team to retain his rights without making an immediate transaction. The player has been absent throughout the offseason and has stated he is not conducting business with the organization. Aiyuk previously expressed an interest in joining the Washington Commanders, though he recently engaged in a public social media disagreement with quarterback Jayden Daniels. He also publicly commented on a legal matter involving 49ers owner Jed York. To terminate his current status, Aiyuk must report to the team facility, a step he has yet to take.
