Brant Hurter's rehab paused as Tigers assess movement issues

Detroit Tigers left-handed reliever Brant Hurter's rehab assignment has been paused to evaluate movement issues stemming from his lumbar spine inflammation. Hurter has been sidelined since May 23 and will remain out of games for at least seven days, although he will continue to throw. Manager A.J. Hinch indicated the team does not expect him to be completely shut down. Other injury updates include Jack Flaherty aiming to pitch off a mound this weekend, Riley Greene expected to return during the next homestand, and Parker Meadows continuing to struggle with his recovery from a fractured arm.
