Bravehearts hold off Starfires in Summer Classic despite late rally

The Worcester Bravehearts defeated the Westfield Starfires 11-8 in the fourth annual Summer Classic held at Forest Park on June 28. The Starfires, despite a five-game losing streak, managed to score eight runs in the seventh and eighth innings but couldn't secure the win. The Bravehearts took an early lead, driven by solid hitting and timely runs, including a two-run home run by Julian Mercado. Westfield's pitching struggled early, allowing six runs through the first five innings before finally responding in the late game. Despite the effort, Worcester's Mason Bordelon capped the game with a run-scoring single in the ninth inning.
