Braves acquire Lane Thomas from Royals ahead of postseason

Summary

The Atlanta Braves have acquired outfielder Lane Thomas from the Kansas City Royals in preparation for the postseason. Thomas, who has a career average of.288 against left-handed pitchers, offers the Braves a strong option in left field. After battling injuries in recent seasons, he has returned to a league-average performance this year.
