The Atlanta Braves activated Hurston Waldrep from the 60-Day Injured List on June 12, 2026, and assigned him to Triple-A Gwinnett. After a successful rehab assignment, Waldrep will continue his development at the Triple-A level rather than being called up to the majors immediately. Additionally, the team released catcher Maverick Handley and saw pitcher Jhancarlos Lara claimed off waivers by the Washington Nationals. Carlos Carrasco accepted his outright assignment to Gwinnett, suggesting he may return to the majors soon.
