Braves add Blake Burkhalter and Kyle Farmer to roster for September

The Atlanta Braves are calling up right-handed pitcher Blake Burkhalter and infielder Kyle Farmer to the major league roster for the final month of the regular season. Burkhalter, a 2022 second-round draft pick, is expected to make his MLB debut after a season spent primarily with the Gwinnett Stripers. He posted a 1.48 ERA across 24.1 innings at the Triple-A level. The team also re-signed Kyle Farmer to a minor league deal in July after releasing him earlier this summer. Kyle Farmer will provide infield depth and serve as an option for pinch-hitting or pinch-running duties. These roster additions coincide with the standard expansion of major league squads at the beginning of September.
