Braves release Kyle Farmer to activate Mike Yastrzemski from injured list

The Atlanta Braves have released veteran shortstop Kyle Farmer as they activate outfielder Mike Yastrzemski from the injured list. The decision, announced on July 21, reflects Atlanta's need for roster space as they push through the season. Farmer's playing time diminished due to the improved health of the roster, particularly with Ha-Seong Kim's return anticipated. Yastrzemski, who signed a two-year, $23 million deal, is expected to play a crucial role in the outfield moving forward. Farmer, released after providing infield depth, may seek a new opportunity in the majors once he clears waivers.
